Rainbow Health Co-operative – Regular Memberships
From: $0.00 / year and a $5.00 sign-up fee
A regular membership is obtained by purchasing one share in the Co-operative. Regular memberships are available to Individuals, Families and Groups. There are three types of Regular Memberships: Basic, Sustaining and Supporting. Details on each are below.
Rainbow Health Co-operative is the largest trans-centric community owned and operated organization in BC. We advocate for, and provide, healthcare, livelihood and related services to under-served communities. Our membership is open to all, but our focus is the trans community. We support families and individuals in the process of physical and/or social transition through our Hans Kai 4 Trans Gender Wellness Program.
We believe that individuals, families and groups have the right of equal participation in programs that affect them. Your membership is the most effective way to represent our common concerns and create change. We get better together
A regular membership is obtained by purchasing one share in the Co-operative. An applicant must be 16 years of age or older. A family with gender diverse children younger than 16 can select the ‘Family’ option. A group can also take out a membership – see Group Membership for that choice.
Each Regular Member is associated with one and only one Region. A Regular Member is invited to attend all Members’ Meetings, may propose a representative for their region, stand for election for an office of the Board, vote at members’ meetings and enjoy all rights accorded to such Members pursuant to the Act, the articles of association and the by-laws of the Co-op.
